Month 3 – HT2

Month 3 – 28th April 2017

Hi Everyone, up to Month 3 now and everything seems to be on track. It is looking slightly more dense than it did prior to this 2nd HT, but there’s still a long way to go. I’m assuming it’s looking more dense due to the few hairs that didn’t shed after the first few weeks. So that combined with the results from the first HT, it’s not looking too bad.

I’m expecting the new growth to begin anytime over the next month or two, and from there it’ll look better and better each month so stay tuned to the blog.

Currently cutting a 5mg Finasteride tablet into quarters, and taking one of those quarters every second day. Apart from that I’m not doing anything else.

Different lighting conditions really change the way it appears. These photos are taken with two bright studio lights either side of me and it’s not too thin looking. If I’m in a darker room it looks really good, but out in the midday sun it’s not great. I’m really happy with how it’s going now, and glad I’ve continued to grow it out as apposed to shaving it like last time.

Donor area is looking really good considering I’ve had over 4,000 grafts taken from it.

I also found some other Before HT1 photos which I’ve posted below. What a difference, and what a great time to be alive 🙂

See you next month!

  1. Hey, progress is looking good. Jist wondering, how long did it take for the redness to get to the point where it wasn’t noticeable?

    • Thanks mate, happy so far. I would say for me personally, it was a good one and a half to two months before it wasn’t too noticeable anymore. I have fair skin though, so maybe it took longer than most others.

  2. The results looks amazing.
I am going through some hair loss for the last 10 years. I am considering hair transplant.
What is the cost of your hair transplant?
Why did you do 2 hair transplant?
    Sorry to be too nosey.

    • Hi, thanks I’m happy so far.
I don’t really go into the cost of the HT’s because there are so many different prices out there. If I were you I would track down clinic where you believe the results have been good, and organise a consultation. Costs all depends on what results you’re after and how many grafts you require to achieve that.
The reason I have had two is that I had lost a considerable amount of hair over the years and for me to get the density I was after it was too much to do in the one transplant.

  3. looking great so far, can’t wait to see next months pics. Take care and hope to see you in Brisbane soon.

    • Cheers Paul. The next few months will be pretty exciting. I’ll give you a yell next time I’m down that way and I’ll drop in to catch up.
